We had a nice ride today. Sunny, light winds, high temp in the upper 60s. Lots of water running across the roads because the hills are saturated. Glad I didn't clean my bike.
We stopped at the Noah's Bagels where we have been many times and they normally put the cream cheese on thick but this time there was barely enough to coat the bagel.

Not a bad reduction. Although I think that you should have left the kickstand on. They're a very useful feature on a touring bike. Not really required on a road-bike though.

I'm usually just opt to lay the bike down, but I've typically been touring on flatbar bikes. Might not be such a swell idea with barend shifters. I'll have to experiment and see what works.

btw, the last time I did a little tour I took the wheels off my road bike with 23s and put them on the tourer.
