I don’t always make raviolis at work, but when I do, I often build bikes in my mind.
Today it was a Columbus SL tubed Benotto dressed in full Campy Super Record, and a splash of Cinelli.

We’ve had a good stretch of nice weather this week. Been riding most days and frankly, was getting a little tired of the local routes so today I decided to hike Mailbox Peak instead. A short drive from my house to the trailhead and strenuous 2 hours of effort give you this view looking west of my town of North Bend bracketed between Rattlesnake Mt. in the center of the picture and Mt Si on the right.
North Bend from Mailbox Peak today.. by NBend, on Flickr
There is a mailbox on the rocky peak filled by hikers with all sorts things. It’s interesting to view whats been left behind. Right now there is a lot of halloween candy stuffed in there..

A surprise visitor stopped by. I suppose his best attempt at being a unicorn for Halloween….
Trick or Treat on Mailbox Peak by NBend, on Flickr

Hopefully one or both of these will go to a new owner today.
Trek 930 mtb, Kona H-onky Tonk roadish bike. (Apparently part of the Kona’s name triggers a bad word filter, probably why Kona renamed the model to just Tonk, almost makes it worth keeping just because of that)

A size or two too tall for me, but I can adjust to it if needed.

Since We Are On The Subject of Art...
I don't think I've posted these here before. These are two of my favorite B&Ws, both taken on the same ride, heading west towards Saint Paul.
That one actually looks pretty good in color, as well.
I'm only posting these oldies because the weather has been too crappy to ride here. Just like last winter. Yuch.

What, Sculpture Now?
I was treated to a bit of modern art the other morning:
A spontaneous eruption of emotional outburst from my normally-faithful winter steed! Or something...
I call this avant-garde piece, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?".

Wow. I would love to know the story of this tree. Was it manipulated during its growth, or did something crazy happen to it by chance? It almost looks like it could come to life. As in, "I am Groot!"?

Here's a few more.
Ojai Valley overlook on Dennison Grade.
Dropping down on Dennison Grade into Ojai (CA) Valley
Close call on PCH. The crane was operating with the cab swinging over the temporary bike path. Actually as close as it looks. Sorry for the poor quality - GoPro screen grab.

Perhaps your bike wants to become a fat bike for Christmas? Like a Surly Ice Cream Truck

About twice a week.
Giving my wife's trike - The Truck, I call it - a good workout on grocery runs now that we've gone car-free and on lockdown.
