Maybe they cut the bridge in order to "make it easier" to cold set the frame to 130mm.

Assuming he meant 130mm to accommodate newer gearing, that still doesn't explain cutting the stay bridge in half. But again: 500 bux?!

Lately bike shops within a 20 mile radius have been lowballing me on my bikes or parts for sale. I figure sometimes a bike shop needs a part for a customers bike but be honest on the offer and I'm more than willing to help out.

If the seller donated that bike to our local co-op, it would go into the scrap metal dumpster as soon as he left.

7 weeks on the market and no bites?

Schwinn Bicycle - $500

Someday I hope to be as cool as this guy named Hawk who doesn't answer emails. I took a screenshot of this years ago, and stumbled over it again recently.

If nothing else, the raised handlebar would provide continuous maximum air braking.

”original “ is all relative’ huh? Maybe they were on the bike when he “obtained” the bike two weeks ago.

Hey, my CL ads specifically state "PHONE CALLS ONLY, please." I'm tired of dealing with flakes, spammers and bots. Asking a prospect to call me weeds out the non-serious.

^^^^^^^^ Aren't you just as likely (if not more likely) to get spam/bot phone calls? I'd much rather delete unwanted Emails on my own time, rather than hear the phone ring so often. If I want to weed people out, I'll say "Email me with a phone number at which to call you."

thats what I've done with my CL ads. Ask for a phone number to call them back. Tends to weed out the dreamers and curious.
