the obviously/definitively blind hedgehog host found a big acorn...not that it does much good...for the worlds road race. Semroc/team Semroc representing in second espacio (sorry...don't know what second is in aussie lingo) with
slcbob jumping curbs and going off course...errr...co-opting roundabouts for third place. ridiculous race for multiple reasons of which Grain Brain previously previewed several.
regardless...we haz some races coming up at the end of september/beginning of october so don't get too comfy in the recliner/saddle.

ooga-booga I think the most stunning result of this to me is Kristoff in 6th. Followed by Remco finishing 2:21 infront like holy cow he just came off the Vuelta what?

Always fun to read your all nighters!

There are races still to come in this interminable league, but you're our only hope, ooga-booga , to prevent semroc from going full Remco on the rest of us. Make it a race to the end, not a month long coronation. But it's getting clearer who is putting on the crown.

Every time I have a glimmer of hope, no matter how unrealistic, I beat it down by limboing under a guard rail a la Bala. Curb hopping is only on the good days.

picked kristoff specifically because he is second in the velogame rider standings. it’s lost in all the mvdp, wva, tpiddy, tadej and remco new guard/young punks breathless results/coverage but dude has had quite the year.

is remco racing lombardia? how could he not at this point?

32 of 37 circuits complete. @semroc is running negative splits on us pack fodder to increase his substantial lead. Chapeau.

i'll get to the numbers/accolades tomorrow. this game is relentless and this last push thru the first third of october is brutal. destroyed from work. trying to avoid the same from superclasico.
would love to say the highlights were caught or the race was watched on my end but that's beyond pipe dreaming.

this last stretch is a real hoot! five races in seven days starting tomorrow (monday) with the coppa bernocchi and finishing with paris-tours on sunday the 9th.
yes, there will be some back to back racing days so refresh your roster daily!

for the giro dell'emilia, Semroc continues those winning ways and adds yet another victory to the tally. slcbob stays insanely competitive in the eternal segundo category whilst canam73 nabs another bronze. congrats to all three podium placers!

stay close to the velogames site this week...it is about to get hairy and devoid of razors/depilatories.

Always a bridesmaid, but even with my 67 dresses they frown at me at those "support lady riders" events.

All that work at the front from Alahphilippe today was deftly slotted between the breakaway points at 50k and 20k to avoid any semblance of nickel grabbing. The former world champ is above that. Unlike me. Darn.

Oops! I spoke too soon. Juju is back off the front again. Points scored at 20k to go!

He dragged Covi and Hirschi up, too, so I'm going backwards again compared to some of you. C'est la vie.

ok, enough live blogging. Hasta...

So much for Siempre Segundo yo. OTOH, my crushing victory today netted me only 180 points over semroc in this piddling little Cat 3 race. If there were 20 more races left in this little liga, that might be a thing, but I can feel him chuckling in his high tower and calling for another bottle of chianti to toast his unassailable gap.

Look for Higuita to do well tomorrow, since I just rotated him off my team.

the coppa bernocci wasn't exactly the biggest race of the year but it still counts as ole #33 in the treadmill of superclasico.
slcbob and team X Merckx the Spot take top hono(u)rs with canam73 and Grain Brain completing the podium. our last monument,
lombardia, is just around the corner. no, not that one...keep going...that one.

Another convincing stage win by those refugees from Pitcairn Island. And another segundo para mi. Semroc gliding in to round out the podium, well on his way to take the GC soon, immune to the machinations of us riff-raff still struggling in the wind. Work continues to get the better/worse of our gracious host, and apathy has spread to Iowa. C'est la vie.

A short day off tomorrow then a weekend two-fer that puts us out of our misery. Until next year.

gran piemonte results in! canam73 continues the second-half resurgence, going back to back and winning by a healthy margin! slcbob holds down the super second whilst Semroc bags third.

last one-day classic is on the 8th! lombardia beckons! don't miss out!

I have returned the favor today. Unintentionally. Paris-Tours is not the only race I missed in my dotage, but one of them.

I'll keep the 2nd step of the season podium warm for you for a few hours and return it to you unsoiled.

Congrats @semroc and chapeau all players. May we all find the help we need.
