Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, you might do that too.

In my case, you'd just get bored riding with the old and slow guy that i am these days.

So when I mount these bars on The Ritchey, I want the tape to stop basically right at the top of the bar and not cover the “aero” portion of the bar. If I do that though, what do I do with the cables? How do I secure them to the bars, the tape won’t be there to secure them.

I was sure I was going to tip over.
This is my last kid move.

My next and last move will likely be into a pine box.

In fact, that almost happened today. We pulled into a parking lot, and my wife got out of the Jeep without putting it in park as I stood between it and the truck.

Also rear shift housing is too long. When properly sized for my preference (IMO), shift housing should be centered on the head tube but not touch when the bars are straight.

Also I like to have brake housing in front of shift housing.

And yes I know my brake housing is too long But it looks better at that length from the side

Also, the new used rear mavic wheel, when off the bike spins inhibited. So if I hold the wheel in my hands it spins really well. When on the bike it doesn’t spin very long. It’s not brake rub. Thoughts?

What I would initially think as well. It's a very subtle adjustment but worth it to get it right.

If you have the bike in the stand and you spin the rear wheel forward, do the cranks rotate forward as well? Could be a freehub drag issue as well.

Cup and cone hubs are most susceptible for sure, most Mavics I've seen are cartridge bearing but they do have a preload adjustment.

What's the bottom side look like? Any routing holes?

My first thought was that the life insurance premium is due in January. She may be thinking collect the benefits before the premium is due.

Lester can give us the definitive answer, from his extensive experience.
Definitely happens on threaded axle cup and cone setups. Theoretically shouldn't happen on cartridge bearing stuff, which I think those Mavics are, but not sure. I haven't really fooled around with that many Mavic hubs.

Before dinner, my 96-year-old grandmother fell in the bathroom. Managed to not break anything, but had a cut on her chin and a banged knee. Crisis averted. We thought. During dinner she started shaking and lost her color, and couldn't get up from the chair even with considerable help. Ambulance came and she's back at the hospital. No news.

Last summer when I visited my uncle died. I'm getting a complex about coming back. And making dark jokes like that because I'm wound up into anxious knots.
