Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I suspect the capacitors in the crossovers were out of spec on th L2s because they weren’t nearly as much fun as when they were newer, but that’s par for the course.

Left here around 8:00 on the mtb to try and spin a little before the rain. Bounced around on some rocks and sand and saw the clouds getting together on the hills so I headed back up to the house and got a little wet in the last few minutes. A success. Plus, some of the caked on mud got washed off the bike! Bonus.

Just an OEM flip-flop track hub -- likely made by Formula. I have a 16 tooth freewheel cog on the drive side. The other side is the fixed cog that came with the bike which I never use.

If I'm not mistaken, without looking further, I believe the 901s are what put Bose on the map.

Same here and it’s not that cold, 30° that I’ve ridden in for40 years. I must be getting soft because I froze.

Yes, but apparently serious audiophiles don't really think they are all that good.

I just did my "easy" one hour fake ride in the basement.

I generally kept it at around the 1.7-1.9 posted pace, except for the 4 times my signal got dropped and then I did have to literally dial it up to 350W for a few seconds to get back on. I think of it as sprint training.
