Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My C4S is Seal Gray. It came down to that car and a white cab and mine was in much better condition with a complete service history. I currently have a Mineral White X5M which is a blast. My first M car was an Alpine coupe. Traded that in for an Estoril sedan, then 2 E46 M3s and then an E53 4.8is which I kept for 12 years. Can’t see myself keeping a car that long again.

How do you like the Taycan? There’s a moron in my town that wrapped their Taycan in matte purple. It looks terrible. If I see it again I’ll take a picture for you.

Have had the Taycan for about 18 months, and have enjoyed it a lot. It’s had more recalls than I would have expected, but things seem to have settled down.

It does weird stuff though. The seat heaters/coolers will turn on on their own. The audio inputs will change between drives. Suspension settings will change over night. Other things as well that can’t be explained. On the other hand, it’s the fastest car I’ve ever owned, and for a 5k pound car it’s fun to drive.

Agreed, but I’ve been jonesing for a very. I rebuilt a 1988 560SL some years back and would like another convertible. Of course, I was living in Florida at the time, so I had many, many more days to have the top down versus being in the frigid north.

Hard to justify one with a 2 year old though and that I just picked up the X5M. The C4S was a premarital asset and I’ve been able to keep despite not driving it more than 2K miles over the last 2 years.

One of our favorite blue cars was a 1989 560 SEC

Google pic. I don't have a good picture of my actual car.

I had my oatmeal and coffee this morning. It was good. Worked for 3 hours. Took a 1 hour nap and feel a bit better. February 8th is my surgery. 6 months after that I might be cleared to resume normal activities. Beginning to end will be nearly 3 years.

Love those! Always wanted one of those and the 633Csi. Those were the best of the big German 2dr coupes that came to the US.

I had an E34 M5 briefly and still regret selling it. That thing was a beast. Never had an E30 M3 though. The prices on them have skyrocketed over the past couple/few years.

I have a pair of Magneplanar 2.5Rs from 1987. But if I sold them, I'd have to get other speakers, because the dbx Soundfield SF100s I have need the midrange and woofer cones re-foamed.

Yeah, it was raining on Zwift the other evening when I was riding, listening to the heavy rain falling outside. Somehow that didn't seem fair.

I get it! I’m probably in the minority here who should apply N+1 to cars more than bikes. 😁

That is a Toyota. They had one with a Toyota badge instead of a Trueno badge?

I don't remember. It was gray. Or blue/gray.
