Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What makes you think of Tennessee?

OCD is real in my life.
LSS insists on having the topsides cleaned and waxed and the decks and cockpit detailed each spring. That's a lot cleaner than we could make it in any reasonable amount of time.

She has no real experience with mountain biking, just dirt roads and a few flat trails. I could link something I think would be appropriate but I tried that last time.
your gravel bike suggestion was a good one - possibly the ideal bike for her (?)

oh well

Have the rules changed? I was under the impression that proper bourbon comes from Bourbon County, KY.

That part was hard to take. "Do they ride better in gravel than a mountain bike?" "No, they are like a road bike that can go on dirt roads and easy trails". "Why do they call them gravel bikes, then?"

I can help her by telling her to stay on the roads.

You'd have about as much success with that as I have telling her what bike to get.

We did the same, and then i would keep rotating cleanings thru the year. Power washer was key on the nonskid.

Same here. On both counts.

I had my daily ceramic coated and told the dealer not to wash it. They still washed it. The service manager came over and apologized profusely and gave me a $100 discount.

I use a combination of things. Adam's paint sealant, Adams In-n-Out spray for sprucing up plastics and the engine bay, Adams VRP for tires, various carnuba waxes layered over the sealant, ceramic coatings on exterior unpainted plastics, and some other tech coatings. I have PPF on the front half of both Porsches, and use Expel sealant on that. I use a ceramic devil spray after washings. All depends on how much I want to do and how much time I have.

The Jeep doesn't get all that. It goes thru the car wash and gets a sealant once or twice a year.

There is no such thing as ceramic wax.

Ceramic coating on unshaven legs will stick the hair to the legs and create a more aero surface.
