I know it's not a apples-to-apples remedy comparison, but it is revealing that a year or so of the drug costs about as much as a substantial surgery.

I've taken the shuttle van to Sherman Pass and descended the Cannell Plunge trail with 7 others from my club. Fun day, spent 5+ hours on the trail, brought lunch, stopped for pictures, etc. I think it descends 5000 feet in the last 9 miles, or something like that.

I just was notified by my Neurosurgeon's office that my insurance company will not approve fusion surgery. They are appealing it with a 3rd party mediator. I will find out within 3 days.
They say my condition doesn't call for fusion. Not sure what they are willing to approve or feel is an appropriate measure to alleviate my problem. I'm stunned. Perhaps disc replacement is what the insurance company feels is appropriate.

The horror. Of course, I'm right there with you guys.
So for you and BillyD - better to have had Lombardi hopes crushed, or luck into the divisional round and get blown out?
I'm just hoping it means easier to not overspend on Jones and Barkley.

You may be the only sane Cowboys fan I've ever met. Holy crap. That's up with me giving up on the Giants for the last three head coaches from the hiring announcements.

I live in TX too, and every year everyone says "this is the year". Yes, more than most fan-bases. Especially more than most without any recent actual success. Every year is the year, and soooo much talking in August.
