Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would welcome this, but only half heartedly if they are hydraulic disc only.

But . . . . . just so long as it's not your own.
Well, if it is, you don't want to bother paying much for the shoes.

Could be that we have different riding conditions as well.

Rims are H+Son which seem to be quite well regarded. They are definitely easy to build.

What rims are your Psimets?

I actually don’t know whose rims they are.

I loved those Converse. I wore them before I graduated to the more padded shoes. Early 70s to early 80s for me.

Work went full nightmare. Back to discussions of kept man status. Still probably won't.

In other news, my QC45s that failed and were warrantied? The replacements failed in a different way in a week. Went with the Sonys and returning the Boses. Sigh.

I’ve never tried a mizuno either, but I feel like they excel at pretty much everything they make.
I do have a pair of Hoka recovery slides that are phenomenal. I’m already having anxiety about replacing them because they don’t make them anymore.

Mizuno is great. I’ve played with 2 different sets of their irons and currently bag 3 and 5 woods.

I stayed back from the exploration of new cenotes and was chatting with the man selling trinkets. He told me he had 8 kids. The reason? They didn't have a tv. He's a few years older than me.

early 70’s was when I moved from the trusty Converse to my first ‘Asics’ shoes ; actually were Onitsuka Tigers - which I believe later became Asics (?)

then Adidas Rom

and year or two later first shoes with the ‘swish’ - our wrestling team was given Nike wrestling shoes - the first Nike shoes I had seen ... not long after that I was wearing Nike Cortez

shoe timeline lol

I have a set of forged mizuno irons with flighted rifle shafts (this is like 10 year old tech) with TM R11 TP driver w. Diamana Kai’li 70 (aftermarket) driver and 3W (also 10 year old tech). I don’t know if Mitsubishi still makes shafts but I loved the **** out of that one.

I don’t play much anymore though

I played some of my best golf with MP-33 blades and then their MX-23 irons. I still regret getting rid of my MP-33s when I moved to the 690MB. Mitsubishi still makes shafts. Their Tensei series is one of the hottest out right now.
