Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just back from Benson's lunchtime walk. The sun was out. Zero degrees F and windy.

Benson wore her boots.

You must have a generous life insurance policy.

Is your aluminum frame even a month old yet? When you start doing pro mileage, maybe you should start being concerned about frame durability, but keep in mind the advice you're basing it on is from a guy who was given multiple new bikes every year (the only aluminum frame I remember him riding was a TT bike).

You're probably wrong about your wife. Probably.

Yes, so it doesn't appear to be a dropout. I'll get to it one of these days. Currently I'm cleaning up an 84 Claud Butler for a friend. As soon as I find some oxalic acid, i will soak the frame and steel parts. It's really in bad shape, rustwise. Especially the frame.

I saw a dog with a full poop bag tied to his harness yesterday.

My wife watches a lot of death and murder TV shows. I'm pretty sure she's looking for ideas.
