Winter project: 1987 Bianchi Campione D'italia
I managed to obtain this Bianchi for the low low price of $50. It has a bent crankset and handlebar, but I am planning on replacing them anyways. The frame is intact and in otherwise good condition, aside from typical wear and tear and a few rust spots. I plan on putting on some celeste cable housing and bottle cages, and maybe handlebar tape, but I don't want to go overboard with the celeste. I'm going to take this one nice and slow to enjoy the process. Usually I try to get a build like this done over a weekend, but given how rigorous my nursing school is at the moment, I'll just do one part at a time.
Any suggestions?

Nice rider! Check the frame or have someone check it for alignment. A bent crank and handle bar do not happen without some nasty outside force!

The bicycle is a 1987 model not a 1988, as it has the rectangular 1986-1987 Campione del Mondo decal. The 1988 models used a round version of this decal and the Bianchi logo decals also changed for 1988. Enjoy your new acquisition.

Nice find. You'll probably be able to find another Ofmega crankset like that. They were fairly common OEM on Italian bikes. Galli, Gipiemme, or of courese Campagnolo would be reasonable substitutes. I'd stick to the traditional non aero type, just for looks.
AFA celeste goes, in my view Bianchis look best if the only celeste item is the frame itself, and maybe the water bottle. Grey housing. White, black or light blue handlebar tape. Black saddle.

I found Bianchi-branded Ofmega cranks with a 130mm BCD, as well as a Bianchi-branded seatpost, for my 1982(?) Campione d' Italia.
My Bianchi frame is charcoal ("metallic Ralph Lauren brown," according to my artist wife), but if I had Celeste, I would be inclined to use dark blue bar tape, cable housing, and toeclip straps.

Agreed. I bought a celeste Volpe once that had red cables, bar tape, and saddle. Looked like a bloody Christmas tree.
