Face warmer
With the weather getting colder, I've been looking for something like this to keep my neck and face warm, but am not sure if this is warm enough:
https://www.performancebike.com/castelli-pro-thermal-head-thingy-light-black-universal-adult-h20549085/p1293867?v=1269690
Any suggestions? I'm trying to avoid anything with Velcro that will come undone or damage my jersey and or jacket. I typically ride in the cold till it gets to around 30 degrees too.

I have a Smartwool one that's my #1 piece of cold-weather gear. If you've never used a neck warmer, you'll be amazed at how effective they are; I usually have to take mine off within an hour.

Buff like the ones from survivor or merino smartwool neck warmer depending on weather.
Ski/board helmets and goggles have some neat new stuff that's allows you to clip neck/face warmers directly to them. Super nifty dunno if any bike ppl are doing it yet tho.

Balaclava works really well on very cold days.

I'm a big fan of neck gaiters, and my trusty old cycling beanie. Along with a wind vest, they're worth their weight in gold. The beanie is thin enough to fit under a helmet, but very effective ( and I recently scored another even nicer one at one of the local thrift stores. )
While recently digging up some winter riding gear for this year, i coulnt find my neck gaiter, so I shopped around for a deal on another, and found ads from Duluth Trading, with free shipping, and sale prices on a few different gaiters, so I grabbed 2 different kinds (then, not surpisingly, I recently stumbled across my original gaiter!) .
Back on topic, I've had a cycling balaclava in my stash, for years, but never once used it. I guess that's my clothing comfort limit for cold weather riding.

In addition to wearing a thick neck gaiter and headband, I've discovered that a KN95 mask with the bottom half folded up into the upper half makes a weird-looking but highly effective nose warmer.

Balaclava is my general choice but I do love my Gore Windstopper face protector (kinda like this https://www.gorewear.com/us/en-us/m-...-warmer-100383) I have had it for a while and it is nice because I can breathe in it without getting my glasses too foggy. I am sure Gore or someone else makes a balaclava in the similar nature but all my BCs have been simple eye hole and that is about it sort of deal.

I have a balaclava I bout over 20 years ago for motorcycling; the lower part of it is fleece and the crown is a thinner material (presumably to fit in the non-adjustable helmet without messing up the way it fits your head.
It's a little too much for most of my uses, so I've got a couple Buff-style bands and like them a lot; they're cheap and very versatile.

Another neck gaiter fan. I pull it up over my mouth and nose on chilly, fast downhills, then push it back down the rest of the time.

For cold weather nothing beats a "Cold Avenger" face mask. For temperatures around 30F, I wear ear muffs and a fleece jacket that zips up to my chin. A thick beard also helps a lot.
My fleece jackets came from a company that sadly is no longer in business. They have thumb holes in the sleeves and the sleeves are long enough to leave no exposure at the wrists.

I find that it's best to keep my nose covered in cold weather. If I don't, I get a runny nose while riding which is very annoying.
