What era DeRosa?
I bought Andrea’s book, but his info ends around the early 80’s
this frame has DT braze-ons for shifters, the 3 TT cable guides and no heart on the BB.
The frame was nicely rattle-canned an a way that if I didn’t actually dislike the color blue, I would throw on decals and clear coat it.
here is the bottom:
as always, this site amazes me with the wealth of knowledge and the willingness to share.

More pictures would be helpful, but I can see it has a 'bridgeless' BB shell and appears to be Diamante chain stays, so at least 1986. The brake bridge would be helpful to ID the year more exactly.

I know his history, also know from his other thread that he is on a road trip, so possibly driving/eating/sleeping/ or doing anything else beside answering immediately. Read the first part of my sentence. Is he perfect, no, like many of us. It is a (hell of a good) community, we as individuals choose to be part of it, not it is fighting to keep us. It is upto ones own standards how he wants to behave and that is not only limited to how to interact with others, but how not to interact with them. When he wrote things I didn't like - nothing really a sin, just not according to my really simple taste - I went to another thread. If hundreds of people would say he was a d1ckhead to them, I still wouldn't care until he is being one to me. If we had the chance to read everyone's history there would be 10 billion individuals on this planet not wanting to talk to anyone. But maybe it's just me.....

More pics would be helpful. Kind of a guess but I think DeRosa branded BB shells are later 80’s. And 90’s . Quick pic of my ‘86 Pro.
One thing I like about our community here is the general tolerance of differences in opinion, forbearance toward what might be called eccentricity without the machismo and calling out that you run across on other forums. Pretty easy to hit the back button and click on another thread.

Back to the post at hand:
I was at the San Rafael Co-op, Bikes for Kids when I saw this hanging high from their rafter system. The bikes are suspended in a manner so crowded, it is difficult to grab a shot. I grabbed the BB shot while waiting for assistance.
Bianchi Girl's comment, "I hate when my phone runs out of film." was spot on. My phone battery died.
The bike had what I think, a rattle can paint job, but it was a really good job. It was converted to a FIXIE but luckily the conversion did not include hack sawing off important parts. The fork, not DeRosa. Also, there is a dent in the top tube.
Frame size, 56 both ways. There is a sale going on and the bike is selling for $275. This included wheels and Cinelli cockpit.
Since my phone died, and I wanted more photos, I called the shop and spoke to Fayed who texted me more photos. Please note, there are no decals on the bike. when waking by, I noticed the lugs and investigated further. Everyone there is a volunteer and doubt anyone but Fayed (pronounced with 2 syllables) will know what you are talking about if you want this.
After I found those Delta Brakes, I was contemplating a period appropriate frame to put them on and another DeRosa was on the top of my list. In the end, I decided this frame without original fork and dent was not for me.
And Drillium Dude, thanks for the sleuthing. My DeRosa knowledge runs out exactly the last page of Andrea's book and after searching the web myself, I didn't know enough to know how to ask.

Maybe that dent is no big deal. I’d rather wait and pay more if needed and find a better candidate. If this bike if perfect for you, please support this awesome Co-op. Good day. Robert

Too bad they missed out on the BB lug / chainstay connection, which could have been a deciding factor if Primato or not, alone the unicrown fork does not do justice as later models had that as well.
this one below actually looks like the one on your photos... kind of flatten blades and horror show welding at the neck
Do you recall such 'external support winglets' around the BB lug? Should be around all connections, also visible in the ad from DD.
For someone wanting "a cool bike" the price is bada55, and for real collectors its anyway off, for the paint not to mention the dent.

I usually notice webbing on BBs because Colnago did that w later models also
The fact is, I don’t recall seeing the webbing which means it didn’t stick out to me. Probably didn’t have it.
Looking at the photos, I noticed that the cable stairs were removed from the top tube. I wonder if its from prying one off..

The original photo shows - just barely, but it shows - evidence of the webbing at the rear of the shell. Look at the photo for a minute, concentrating on the chainstay sockets. You'll see them.

I thought that as well, but looking at all other pics from the web I thought that they are so refined, that from any angle one should be a bit more obviously visible and not just in a "do I see it or do I want to see it?" manner...

OK. After visiting some of my best friends in Durango, Indian food, catching up and wrenching most of the night.
i’m now headed to Denver. Just drove over Wolf Creek Pass at 12,000 feet.

after Denver, Tulsa and then St. Louis. Followed by my return trip, Albuquerque, more Durango, Palm Springs, then up the coast.
I bring this up because if someone in the Northwest really wants that Derosa. I will make sure my phone is well charged and we could FaceTime and go over any detail you want.
Pay the shop over the phone.
And then, for the low low deal of $10 + one beer, I will be happy to deliver it to you.
He doesn’t need his face plastered everywhere Too bad you can’t see his colnago New Mexico we are working on. He painted it Lamborghini orange

The BB (from underneath) is identical to my -93/94 De Rosa Primato, but the rest of my bike is the same frame/fork as the one shared by Drillium Dude, which differs to pictures supplied by the OP (or the co-op).
For example, there is no internal routing of the brake cable on the top tube, which looks odd to me.

Also, I realized what I'm seeing might actually be a web along the chainstay socket itself. In any case, on later Neo Primatos, there's a small web in that area, too. The earlier pic I supplied, of course, doesn't show them as that feature's blocked by the webbing.
