^ Yep! Great place to ride a bike. You probably know that that fountain is a reproduction of a fountain in Bologna Italy. And that there's a great place to dine alfresco in the corner.

With a little imagination, I can pretend I'm in Italy.

Thanks! It kinda shows why I chose the purple bar tape too ... it matches the paint near the bottom bracket and rear dropouts (and the head tube) pretty well.

Flippin beautiful bike, and hoot to ride. It's fast becoming my favorite bike ... I guess there really is something about lugged steel.

No, I did not know that was a recreation. Rive Gauche still there? I took my bike on the train up to Santa Barbara and then spent the weekend riding back south. There was an awesome old Frenchman there, Jacques, who was interested in riding, and talked about touring in his youth in Europe, getting hit by cars, never wearing a helmet, etc. We're pretty lucky to live here.

Look, someone has to say it.
It's a Colnago, it should be wearing Campagnolo....
No disrespect to the Shimano stuff (I'm not nearly the campy snob I pretend to be), it just doesn't make it.
Besides the mix of Italian frame and Shimano is probably responsible for the El Nino (or is it la Nina this year? I forget).
It will in all probability cause Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies, Rivers and seas boiling,
Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
that said, it's a gorgeous bike.
Molto Bello!

We sure are.

I've never been to Rive Gauche, but I'll check it out the next time I roll by. Our go-to place is the Yellow Vase ... tucked into the SE corner of Malaga Cove.

Lol. I'm a Shimano guy, but I have to say ... for this bike it would be better if it were Campy.

I should probably do something about those French tires, too.

Will they ever again? Here's hoping.
