Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

fun fact: only vaccinated guests are allowed at the wedding. They are not joking.

good news about sis. all the support you gave contributed to the recovery.

Soon she can say this: (could be definitive version)

You're lucky.

We took our daughter to Illinois when she was 6 months old. While there, she caught something, and ran an incredibly high fever that was accompanied with vomiting. We flew back with her sick, and I just held her in my arms the whole time. At one point I was in tears because whatever she had was just not letting up and I knew that she was really not feeling well.

After the first time, there will be a second time. And so on. It hurts to see them sick, but they will get over it.

I take it she's hasn't been in daycare/pre-school? Man, those are immunity boot camps and all the kids get the Code Red.

A really sick kid is a whole lot of no fun the first few times around, though. Take care of her and try not to let yourselves get too anxious.

Especially when the kid shares the virus with you. Daughter and I had several illnesses together, including 5th disease, which I evidently never had nor learned about in peds. It was lovely. Have you ever heard a four year-old plead for acetaminophen suppositories ("bottom medicine")?

Im not too worried, I was sick all the time as a kid and I turned out okay depending on who you ask.

She plays with some kids in the neighborhood but that’s about it so I don’t know how she picked this up. She seems okay just looks tired and sick. Fever hit 101 but I think it’s back to 100 now. Hopefully it’s nothing.
