Brooks seat arrived , Pro tite tires on the way !

The new Brooks seat just arrived, took it down to the bike shop. The owner had told me if I would leave it with him he would Proofide it for me. He had ordered Pesla tires for me and found out they were out of stock. He ended up ordering me the Pesla Protite from a different warehouse. He said I'm not going to charge you anymore for them. I feel like I'm off to a good start with our local bike shop. It just confirmed all the good things I have heard and read about the owner and his shop.

Did you order tan-wall Panaracer Pasela tires? If so, they are a great 27" tire choice and you should be very pleased. Did you order a Brooks B17 or another model?

I recently mounted the 27X1&1/4 on my customized '71 Super Sport. I had been running all black 1&1/8 Vittoria Zaffiro tires for the past decade. I'm really enjoying the increase in air volume and lower PSI which the Pasela offers.

Yes I did order tan wall Pasela and the B17 Brooks. As I mentioned I will be getting the Pasela Protite tires. Looking forward to replacing my 49 yr old tires.

1964Supersport : Good on ya. A good LBS is a wonderful resource, one to treasure. Make use of it when possible. even when stuff at the store costs a bit more than on line.
