Vintage 10 Speed

$50
Listed 2 hours ago in Findlay, OH
  • Condition
    Used – good
Used vintage bicycle excellent condition to ride as is or a good bike to convert to a single speed and do the whole hipster shuffle. Can send better pictures upon request if interested.

It looks like a 1988 Versailles. It's only about an hour away. Had I not just bought a bike, I might be tempted. It's probably too big for me anyway.

Bruce Gordon - $1,800 - Topanga, CA
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ws...585776402.html
"Classic Petaluma made frame shamefully not being ridden. With this cockpit setup the thing feels like a Tie-Fighter on tight singletrack and of course can handle a loaded tour exceptionally well.
Rock N Road frame #16 stamped on the bb
Mostly XTR drivetrain
Paul cantis
Ultegra/Mavic SUP wheelset
Bontrager 29er tires
Nitto Dirt Drop stem
Soma Portola bars

Also have Bruce Gordon front and rear racks but the front isn’t compatible with this fork. Cages will probably not be included. Saddle not included. I am 5’10” and I’d say it fits absolutely perfect"

Absolute perfectly fit. With a dirt drop stem … anyone else who is 5’10 rocking 5cm of head tube? I’m sure not.

I'm pretty sure the bikes (frames) were designed around a riser stem, given the style of mountain bikes as the time. Bruce designed them so you could run either a flat bar, like a mountain bike, or drop bars, like a road bike. They're the gravel bike precursors! (Like the Specialized Rock Combo upthread...)

1987 Bridgestone T-700 for $60 in Vancouver, Washington

A bit of a project, but very well priced. This one is strange to me - the T-700 was a highly regarded touring bike, but this model year - despite the "Touring Series" label on the seattube - does not have canti brakes, has no mid-fork eyelets, only one eyelet on the dropouts, and has downtube shifters. In the '87 catalog, it even touts that "it's racey geometry gives it a road feel that no loaded-touring style bike can match". I guess they were morphing it into more of a sport tourer by this time.

I recall this model as a 1991 /1992 model year because it was the last year of the shimano 200GS group,on the bordeaux sticker was written peugeot computer assisted design. Tubing was the HLE tubing

Strange to me as well, I just posted the T500 and looked it up briefly on an old BF post that compared the T700 to the T500, saying the main differences were the T700 had mid fork mounts & slightly longer seat stays, also said both had two eyelets on the dropouts? said the T500 was more a "sport touring", looks like they both went that way.

Looks like a 1990 Black Rock Mountain in Black fade to green.

Schwinn Paramount MTB

In Sedona Arizona: https://flagstaff.craigslist.org/bik...586230679.html

I've actually already reached out a couple of times, and haven't heard back yet. The NDS CS sure looks like it's got the Waterford, Wi decal and the other decals all look original/Waterford in origin--not sure how legit it is; the serial number would clear up when and where it was made. But I'm guessing the frame is an early Waterford-built Paramount MTB that someone built up in the 90s with basic parts? A bit of patina, but it could be fun to rebuild as a commuter or touring bike for my kid

I wondered that too?If it was just decals placed after a respray of a different model? But looking at the '87 Bridgestone page confirms it's a (mostly) stock bike.
