At least twice. He used to take pics of the bikes beside each other in a dark garage. They were the worst.

Rare chance to own a near-NOS ( "Other than a few scratches and blemishes from moving it around the garage over the years") Murray Spectra! One might suspect that the original owner rode it so little in order to preserve its value. One might also suspect that lack of use was due to an immediate understanding of just how ****** this bike is.

Murray Spectra 10 Speed Classic (54cm) - $500 (Vancouver)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMapbicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
frame size: 54 cm
make / manufacturer: Murray
model name / number: Spectra
wheel size: 700C
Murray Spectra 10 Speed Classic!

Top Tube: 54cm
Effective Top Tube: 54cm
Seat Tube: 50cm

This Murray Spectra comes to us from its original owner. Although these bikes aren’t rare, one with zero miles is hard to come by. This one has been sitting in a garage since the early 90s, and after dusting it off and adjusting a few things, it is ready to be ridden. Other than a few scratches and blemishes from moving it around the garage over the years, it is in like new condition. The original tires aren’t cracked or worn at all, the chain looks new, and it shifts smoothly. Come pick up this survivor today!

Specs:

Frame – Murray Spectra Steel
Fork – Steel
Shifters – Shimano stem shifters
Cassette – Shimano 15-28
Tires – Golden Boy 26 x 1 3/8
Wheels – KJ Steel
Front Derailleur – Shimano
Rear Derailleur – Shimano Tourney
Crankset – unbranded
Brake Calipers – Forged Star

Listed as Schwinn bike

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2508981787274/

Seller says:

"Old Schwinn world + 1, must take both. The Schwinn rode well, but, has found a home against this tree for the last few seasons." $50

There is a Schwinn in the photos....

First photo is of a Peugeot with a bent fork... I guess that's the +1 that must be taken with the Schwinn should you liberate it from its treeeside home...

Vintage Campagnolo Valentino Matchbox Front Derailleur Bottom Pull

Found this wacky ad on eBay:"Vintage Campagnolo Valentino Matchbox Front Derailleur Bottom Pull.

Well, there is some wear on the cage. LOL. Mechanically it is surprisingly tight, definitely worth finding a new cage for- should clean up nicely."

eBay: Vintage Campagnolo Valentino Matchbox Front Derailleur Bottom Pull

wacky ebay ad for Campy FD

Picture yourself riding this thing, and how you would appear while riding the brakes down a steep grade.

Being so stretched out, with a cape you'd look like Superman.

The rider of the Omaha bike may very well break if he needs to brake no matter the conditions are.

I'd like to see the person who could comfortably ride this....

All the ad says is "Limo bicycle $100"

You'd need arms longer than your legs to ride this... I wonder if that's why it's being sold!

It's an as-yet unfinished work. Just a few more engineering details to iron out...

You mount a child seat on the top tube and let your two-year-old steer while you pedal.

Anyone would be teasing the Grim Reaper to ride the bike in that arrangement.

"I’m trying to help get rid of it instead of selling it..." ?! Well, since he won't sell it at that price he might as well just get rid of it.

So the pictured catalog page is for a Grand Record, but not the same year/version of the Grand Record actually for sale. Whatever, they're just bicycles, right?.

This dood's living in la-la land: Romic Custom Reynolds 1985

Sram brifters - but both front and rear downtube levers are cabled up instead. A dog's breakfast of parts on a late 70s or early 80s Romic - all this can be yours for a BIN of $1600!

To be fair, this appears to be this person's first listing as a seller on ebay, but still...
