yes! thank you! I've read that too! we had a dry day after a rainy day & almost took it off but I knew it would rain again today. it comes off tomorrow!

Not being critical, my enclosed rear porch is the rain cover for my bikes. I live by myself, ergo, no one to criticize or say no, and I have plenty of room. One of my spare bedrooms is my bike work area.

I live in a condo & I found out recently we actually have a rule that we can't store bicycles on our decks or patios. ugh I can understand rules like that, they don't want the place looking messy or maybe it's because they don't want oils on the decks or patios. but enforcing that rule would be really rude. I mostly keep the family bikes in the basement & only cheat w/ mine from time to time. we also have a rule for no window a/c units. don't know the reason, maybe it's looks as well. we all have full house a/c units but the condos are 3 floors & that top floor is a challenge. I would love a window a/c unit. darn condo police!

I'm on my 3rd bike cover now. The sun eats them up in a year. I've switched up to motorcycle specific cover that is much heavier. And yes, leaving your bike under them all the time is an invitation to rust. I recently bought a poly bike shed off AZ for 52 US dollars that has a frame and zippered up front cover. It's keeping my bikes dry and I used pavers for a base and staked it down. So much less hassle than messing with the tarps everytime you feel like a ride.
