I have two bikes. One is "my bike" and the other is "my other bike". Whichever one I am riding, working on or in close proximity is "my bike" and the other one is "my other bike"

I have recently taken to call my Trek fixies "Trixie I and Trixie III" despite Trixie III having been built first (Trixie, portmanteau of Trek Fixie).
I also sometimes refer to my Trek 720 as "BOB" (Bike Of Burden). . . .

The '76 Puch Royal X my father bought me in '78 that I finally relocated and rescued last year is once again Dragonfly.
The purple Mercian Vincitore custom road fixed-gear is Julius, because purple + British + Latinate model name + conqueror makes me go, "Ave, Imperator! We have crossed the Rubicon!"
The battle-scarred '71 Gitane TdF converted to fixed-gear is Maitres Jaques in honor Monsieur Chrono himself, Jacques Anquetil
The '73 Raleigh Competition with the Surly Dingle 17/19T fixed cogs and 42/44T chainrings (someday to get a 20/22 freewheel on the flop side of the hub) is De Selby, in honor of the mad scientist frequently invoked in Flann O'Brien's The Third Policeman.
The non-descript, repainted Mercier 200 that came to me bent out of shape from a head-on crash, which I then pulled back into alignment using a plumbing pipe lashed to a utility pole, honors Mercier's greatest rider - Straightened Raymond
Gone but never forgotten is the c.'71 Raleigh Competition I plucked from a roadside trash heap as a frame with multiple coats of exterior latex and Krylon. It became an awesome fixed-gear commuter under the name Lazarus.
The exceedingly (excessively?) precious Rivendell Road Custom built up with all the chi-chi parts was called Belle before being rehomed.
Sometimes they don't get names, or the names take a long time to arrive. And oddly enough, I have never gotten around to really seriously naming my all-time favorite acoustic guitar, and what could be more personal an allegedly inanimate object than a lovely Gibson J-45?

I simply call them the Black bike and the Red bike.
Strangely enough, the Red bike was named "Willy" by the factory. But I couldn't stand riding a Red Willy so I had the adoption papers changed to call the Red bike "Speedster".

Our bikes do not have names (except for the mfr.) But they might be called some names which I can't post, if we encounter a large hill towards the end of a grueling ride!
