Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Masi Gran Criterium S, ever heard of it?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a hanger for my Masi, which led me on a more general search for info about this bike. I can't find anything online for the "S" model (which also uses a different hanger) anyone have any info on it? (I tried to post a picture but alas, being new to this forum, I can't yet)

Will

Do you like bikes and talking about them? If so welcome to the forum, post around for a bit and pretty soon you will get to the required 10 posts and go well beyond that and you will post good quality useful photos and we can help out. If not and you just had a quick question, Google, AltaVista, ask Jeeves is way easier than setting up an account to just post a single question with little useful info.

This is a fun forum but if you don't like bikes it may not be. Hope you stick around so we can see the hanger and also complete bike. Some of those Masi's are pretty neat but that might just be the Breaking Away fan in me.

That's it! Mine's red but it's the same frame. Is that yours? looks clean, I've never seen another one.

Yes. It was a birthday present from my GF. All Dura Ace in a size 58. Unfortunately, although I can ride it OK, I really need a 54-56. I'm not sure where I'd look for a derailleur hanger. Let me ask a friend of mine. He used to own an LBS and then went into the industry as a rep for Bianch, Speedplay, Tifosi and other companies. He may have an idea. I'll post if I have some leads. BTW, I think I have a spec sheet that may have some info. If I can find it, I'll let you know and mail it to you if you want it.

Apparently mine is a 2006 not 2005. I do have a sheet of specifications if you want a copy. In any event here's a site for you.......https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/...spx?item=11073

That isn't the one, thankfully Masi / Haro have been very helpful and are shipping me the hanger. Thanks for the info guys!

I mostly ride DH/enduro in BC.
