Hindsight is telling me that today's ride was a bit too ambitious. Only had two bottles of water and didn't bring enough food so I blew up and limped home the last hour.
Also was my first time going out on an unknown route with just my Wahoo. Had some frustrations with the unit not rejoining the route when I had to deviate due to road closures, and then RWGPS gave me a wrong cue telling me to turn left when I should have gone right.
Still fun though. Learned a lot.

Oooh, they're painting the Java Jive. One of my favorite bars. Second smallest bar I've been in, I think.

Here's some C&V Dunkin' Donuts, next to a Circle K in 1972 according to the poster. Looks like a slightly newer red Toyota on the road there though, hmmm...

There used to be an Atomic Speedway along I-40 (not in Oak Ridge), but it is no more.

Looks like it's not Oak Ridge now, but still using the name 'til they come up with something better

Wahoo Bolt has a few quirks that I learned about today.
Double check cue sheet output from RWGPS.
Swamp Rabbit Trail is not paved the entire length.
Avoid Falls Park at all costs, no matter how convenient it might seem to ride through.
2 water bottles is not enough for me to ride 3.5hrs in 85°F-ish temps.
I probably won't die if I only have 2 water bottles on a 3.5hr ride in 85°F-ish temps.Fabric Scoop Shallow seems to be a really comfy saddle.

It’s an implanted device, a spinal cord stimulator. I would only suggest if you have daily severe back pain and/or pain radiating from your back.

My wife bought a gift of a Keith Code motorcycle road racing class a Laguna Seca. There was every caliber from national champs to novices like me. We were all on Kawasaki 600's. After several slow laps of learning different techniques, we were let loose. In motocross, which I was good at, you can use any line to pass someone, but here in road racing there was that ONE good line. I was passed by some guys at probably 30 mph faster maybe a few inches away. I cruised into the pits and called it a day.

A guy I worked with has a 1971 240Z with an LS1 V-8 and 5 speed trans stuffed in it. He goes to Willow Springs track here in the desert. He does laps against the clock, not racing other cars. He loves doing it but the track tires are expensive and don't last very long.
