Frame/Cassette gap Tiny Dork Disk ???

I'm pushing the rated Capacity of my Shimano Di2 drivetrain and twice now I've dropped the chain between the frame and cassette.

Is there a tiny Dork Disk for the Frame/Cassette gap?
Google has failed me. And believe me I searched rather than come here and ask questions about Dork Disks!
Not tough to make, but a purchase would be quicker.

Thanks

Barry

I'm not all that familiar with Di2 but I hope to learn something here. Can I assume that you don't have hi and lo stops to set with the electronic setup?

Di2 has the same H,L stops as the mechanical derailleurs.
But by pushing the RD Capacity over the spec's, lack of chain tension can become an issue.
Di2 full sync stops me reaching the 34t - 11t combo, so no problem there
But the 50t - 11t combo + a good bump + light pedaling and the chain has jumped into the gap beyond the 11t cog.

Barry

OH, and I do know a bent hanger can also be a cause, so I've accurately reset the alignment.
I don't think the bozo that installed the new hanger (me) ever aligned it from new.

Thanks for that info. It seems you're trying to do something simple to remedy the problem, but have you considered a clutch?

Mix-n-match compatibility of Di2 offerings is a bit of a mystery to me.
I'd have to go with RD-RX805 to have a clutch and I don't think that combo'ed with an FD-R8050 is D-Fly compatible.

A $5-$10 disk/bushing is far more attractive.

you could probably fit a thin disk under the cassette lockring, however a plain flat disc would likely not allow sufficient chain clearance in the 11t, so you'd have to offset it somehow. Someone with some metal fabrication capability could probably make something like this pretty easily

Some old 5 or 6spd freewheel Schwinn bikes had a double dork disc on both sides of the cogs. Don't think I've encountered that setup anywhere else.

Don't think even I could suffer the installation of a Double Dork Disk and still hold my head up

This web site gives you the diameter of the cassette based on tooth count : https://www.wolftoothcomponents.com/...by-tooth-count

Search for a "spoke protector" with a diameter some value slightly bigger than your cassettes biggest cog.

Example: Here is a 5.5" diameter spoke protector: https://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Casse...NPWQ9DXYJYNBFG

None of my current bikes have a spoke protector, However I had a road bike with a small un-obstrusive disk that I just left on, even though I compulsive about ensuing my limit screws are set properly
