Very satisfied with bicycle clothing from...

Voler!! I've used their stuff for many years (and its still going strong) but just discovered their "mystery jersey" service which allowed me to buy two fantastic jerseys for an amazing discount. The quality of the stitching, materials and fit has been fantastic.

They are a small US company, check 'em out if you are in the market for cycling clothing. I love their bibs, tights, thermals, jerseys, wind breaker vests and socks - all of which I own and regularly use. I will be trying their gloves at some point.

As a small business owner myself, I always appreciate it when a satisfied customer spreads the word on a forum of enthusiasts/potential customers. Here's my chance to pay it forward...

I have a long torso. I was going to recommend Voler club-fit jerseys($75) but looking at their website it seems like they are no longer listed. I just bought 2 several weeks ago.

Voler is moving to a new shopping site shop.voler.com. Not all the inventory is there yet.

They do have a club-fit mystery jersey listed.

If I'm spending that amount of money, I'm going to be particular to how it goes on (Full zip) , features {pockets: how many, locations} , color options [Don't want to look like a municipal worker] , & design (I don't mind a small logo) as some look like a recycled Big Boys/Elias Brothers coloring placemat.

I bought a pair of shorts and a jersey from Voler after asking their rep what size I should order. She recommended shorts that were too small and a jersey that's too big. Easy return and reorder for the right size, and I really like the shorts. I also bought a pair of mystery shorts.

They promised a 'free gift' with my first order of mystery goods. It turns out that the free gift was a 2nd pair of mystery shorts, so I got one pair of Jet FS shorts and 2 tri shorts. I like all 3 pairs a lot. The tri shorts aren't what I would have chosen at full-price because I don't like the design all that much, but for $10 or $15/pair, they're enough of a bargain for me to look on the positive side. I'm not all that delighted with the fish scale motif, but I very much like the color and quality of fabric and sewing.

I am very satisfied with Boure shorts, but they're a lot more expensive than Voler. I like thin pads, and Boure's pads are thin. So are the pads of tri shorts.. The Jet FS pad is thick, but it compresses a lot, so I find them comfortable, too.

Agreed, like their prices much more. Jerseys for $120 at Voler are expensive.

.
Hmm. Maybe I should speak with a Rep. I'm definitely on the chunky size with a proviso. Large are a bit tight or skimpy but my shape (belly mostly) does not like Xlarge - seems to gap or bunch or something under the butt and begins to chaff or irritate. But if there's easy return but allowed to try it on - that would be okay.

Thick pads are bothersome to me during a long ride. Feels like a diaper too.

Iím built like an ape and their jerseys are the only ones I found so far that are long enough in the torso and arms

I've ordered some stuff from these guys lately.

https://montella-cycling.com/

Two full kits and another jersey. Jerseys' are a bit longer than I like so I suspect they'd be perfect for someone with a longer torso. The chamois that have come with both sets of bibs I got are different than what is pictured. They are thicker than I normally have with my Peal Izumi and Giordana bibs but to be honest they are the most comfortable on my 50+ mile rides. I haven't had any of the stuff long enough to say if it lasts.

I recently received an event jersey from Voler, the Mens Club Peloton Jersey. It is really long in the torso. Seems like it is very well made.

Assos is my go to

This is where I buy my jerseys since they seem to be the only company for tall cycling clothes. Everyone seems to carry various wide sizes but no one except Aerotech has tall sizes.

I want to get one of their mystery jerseys but they are sold out in my size. I asked them if there was a way to be notified when they are back in stock but they said I would just have to check back regularly. Hopefully they are back soon!

Clothing is so individual.

My club uses Voler for all our kit and I refuse to wear their bibs. After 3 different pairs I just couldn't get on with them.

I do like their jerseys except for the fact that the pockets are so tall they go half way up your back.

It is always nice to find kit that works for your in terms of fit and price.

Voler black label bibs are fantastic. For $165, they better be.

Their mid level $95 jersey has been a total hassle though.
I bought 2 in my size(xl club) a couple months ago and they were comically big compared to my other voler xl club jersey. The new jerseys were longer, wider, and the pockets were floppy.
I am 6'5 and 210# so no jersey should fall below my butt- that's just poor design.
So I bought the exact same in xl race cut. As I assumed, they were too tight. The pockets were great(as expected) though.
Those went back too.
The $95 jerseys are nicely made- good material, nice arm cuff design, and quality zipper.

Free shipping and returns is nice since they seem to have some pretty wide variation in sizing from year to year. The real pain is that they produce on demand so it's 3 weeks before you get your order. When the order is poorly sized, it's 1.5 months before you have what you want.

I want to try the xl club fit jersey again in the hope that the initial couple were just poorly made with regard to size, but I dont feel like spending $100 and waiting 3 weeks in the hope that it fits the same as my other xl club jersey.

Boure.com
Will never buy another short from any other source. The Boure Pro short is my choice as it only has a minimalist chamois, not the 10mm, 15mm etc. padded chamois. Super comfortable and seriously durable and very reasonably priced.
Small Colorado company that does clothing really, really well.
