Well I added this 1998 Y Foil 66 to the mix. Got it last year but it's a bit rough and I keep having to sort out issues with it. Everything is working fine right now though.

Just tuned up my Trek 2120 with a NOS 7 speed hyperglide cassette, new bar tape, new tires, clean and lube up. Also put a new chain on my Giant cadex 980c.
debating if I wanna get a Selle Italia Turbo, Super Turbo, or a San Marco Regal for my Trek.

Monoblade design by Ergo Concepts. Weighs as much as 2 Domane's.
CycleLab frame with integrated headset and funkadelic stem, fork is Vibtene.
2/3 x 10 Chorus Carbon Ergos mounted on Easton EC90 bars, Cinelli wrap.
Chorus 11 carbon compact crankset, UT Campy cups. Look Classic pedals.
Prologo Zero Nack saddle on Look 24.0 post, Jagwire cables/housing.
Veloce calipers, FD, RD. Campy Bullet wheels with Panaracer Catalyst Sport 23's.
Topeak bag. Bontrager cage. Hefty at 22+ lbs. My guess is great descender...ha.
Bottle cages match up well. Found the tires in my stash. Huge difference in appearance.
Happened to have the tape on hand. I'll have to touch up that stem face plate scratch.
Panaracer tires. Mounting the rear caliper is a challenge. It's difficult to access once a wheel is on the bike, so adjustment is a back/forth. RD hanger is very unique, strong, and I sure hope I never break it.
The rear "triangle probably weighs as much as my Cipollini frame. Stiff? You betcha.
Thanks to MiloFrance. Euro shipping issues prevented him from sending the Mavic wheels. No biggie. This thing begged the Bullets, and since weight is not an issue, the heavier Bullets are fine. They have great hubs, and I can use them on Shimano with Fulcrum freehub swap.
Back when frames had backbones.
Yes, it's as heavy as it looks. Dainty, it ain'ty.
I'll take the zip tie off someday, but I like it there for now. I also plan on a 12-30 cassette, so the chain is "uncut." The cable liner is a complete "run" for both the FD and RD, and the TT brake cable routing is complete internally. Easy peasy.
Lots of little things on the frame. The fork is supposed to be shock absorbing. No idea, and I'm not taking that assembly apart for any reason.
Ready to roll. One of those "looks fast" models that will result in raised eyebrows when someone picks it up and gets a hernia.

I'd love to try my tubeless HED Ardennes, but the profile is low and the Y begs a deeper rim.
I'm very interested in that water bottle bag/cage there on the seat post/saddle.
I just gave away my 59cm frame like that, to a guy who appreciates the uniquity.
His wife says he's going R7000 in silver. I can't wait to see him finish it and have a dual-Y ride.
Found him the OEM Rolf's in blue, but the seller won't part with them for honest money (thinks they are USPS wheels).
Still looking for that elusive 54cm in good condition.
Would not be an addition, would be a swap.

Well the one in the picture is this one. The problem is those bottles hit on the bottom of your thighs even though they are shorter 20 oz bottles.

The Giant rides amazingly nice, doesn't get all squirrely out of the saddle, etc. But on the other hand I only ever rode the Trek stock/as shown and the 36cm? bars felt pretty narrow. The Giant was so nice as is that I felt it was worthy of some newer parts to become a more comfortable daily rider/mild all arounder/gravel grinder:

So what do you think of this one? I'm trying to get a hold of a guy with a mint looking 2001 5200 triple. Want to get it geared really low and light for the really steep mountains. I've always understood these earlier Treks were pretty comfortable to ride.

I like it.. It rides smooth. It has a very relaxed seat tube angle. I hated the factory stem and spacers, so I replaced those. I just put the FP60s on there and stored the red Rolfs.

Since this was revived. Here's a mid 90's Calfee Tetra Pro I recently got built up with Campagnolo 10 speed stuff. Running some older Reynolds DV46 wheels on it right now. Still not sure what I really think of it as every time I get it out the winds blowing too hard to get it opened up.

How about I revive this thread again for this beauty I picked up today. Made through until around page 17 before I saw another one of this. This is an Italian made monocoque frame with various alloy pieces glued to it. This one is a C4 Air One from sometime in the 90's as best I can tell. C4 started making bikes around 1986 and stopped around 2003 or so according to their history. They are still around as a company making diving gear.
This was a local find today from an old racer who lives about 5 miles from me. Had a really sweet Cannondale Saeco team bike also available. Presented to him by Cannondale.
Any the bike as I brought it home, 19 lbs 10 ozs
Red and Italian, it has to be fast!
And this a quick set of pics after I did a quick clean and polish as well as degreasing and lubing 'er up.
I think this is a Cinelli Grammo Titanium stem
Frame is in pretty good shape
Not sure yet how the seatpost clamp works, looks like some divets in the seatpost from it.

Gaint Cadex 1990's?
Hey there, I recently picked up this beauty. According to my bike tech who is going to help with cleaning up the frame and re-sealing the carbon, it's an early 90's or late 80's Giant Cadex Road Bike.
I'm actually trying to see what the serial number tells me about it. Any advice on who to ask? GJ5A566
Goal: To update some of the components and turn it into a daily driver, while staying true to the style of bike it was designed to be.
