Not much chance of my riding 102 miles tomorrow (though I would do it if I had the time), so I guess I won't be making my goal this month.

That’s it for me this month . It’s been cool and wet ..
I’m taking a week or two off and hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can start back next month .
At least I made it through October without a crash .

I wasn't quite ready for riding in the cooler weather for most of the past week. I fell significantly short of my goal. There's always next month.

13 Rides this month for 329 miles. Had to cease all activities on Oct. 14th as I experienced some severe pain in my right leg. MRI showed a nerve in my upper thigh inflamed, its part of the sciatic system. Pain was horrible. Still do not know how long I will be out of commission but man I hate it!

I'm sorry, Robalero. I hope you recover quickly.
I rode 127 miles in October, so I reached my 125 mile goal. I was all set to reach my stretch goal of 150, since it was sunny and above 50 Saturday and Sunday, but I wasn't feeling well.
For 2021, I rode 1300 miles, which was better than my goal of 1200, but I didn't reach my stretch goal of 1500. Also, my longest ride was a little over 30 miles, not the 78 KM that I hoped to ride on my birthday ( one KM for each year, plus one tin the hope of continuing). OTOH, I've been stronger this year than anytime this century - faster, fewer tough 'I just want to get home' miles, much faster in headwinds. I now go out as long as the wind is projected to be 20 mph or less. Last year, I stayed home if it was projected to be 15 mph or less, and a couple of years before that, my limit was 10 mph. I got ride 150 miles or so with our son, and a few miles with our grandson ... those were especially great miles.
All in all, I'm very happy with and grateful for 2021's riding ... and I may go out on nice days (sunny, above, say, 45 degrees F) between now and New Year's. And I'm looking forward to next year.

Hope you feel better soon, Robalero. Phibob, I have this crazy notion of riding double my age next birthday, but that’s going to be 130 miles, and I’m not so sure about that, But I’ve mapped the route, and it’s gonna be a doozy, my longest yet, and hopefully not my last.

giffenf, Twice your age in miles is within the realm of possibility, and you know you can probably do it. And if you do it on or after your birthday, you'll be able to use Medicare.
None of us is getting any younger. Most of us get weaker as we age, but 'weaker' doesn't necessarily mean 'weak.'
It's only crazy to people who haven't found the joy of bicycling, and even some of them understand.
