1980? Motobecane Grand Jubilee 23" Blue and Silver

I picked this up locally but just have too many projects to really give this a total clean up. In as found condition. Everything looks to be in good shape but I haven't done much except wipe it down, so it will need an overhaul before riding. Tires hold air but will need replaced. Vitus tubing, Motobecane badged simplex drivetrain, Nervar cranks, Mafac competition center pulls in great shape, Normandy hubs, Rigida 27" rims The seatpost has some zig zag marks but other than that the bike only has minor scrapes and scuffs. $350 + shipping from Indianapolis, IN 46280

Nice bike. It has the exact same component specs as my GJ mixte. I was wondering if the calipers were original, but it looks like they are.

Do you know the year of your mixte? I am having a hard time pinpointing the exact year.

It looks like they could be 1981-1983. They switched to Simplex mechs and Mafac brakes in '81 and those stayed through 1983.

I have my daughter's 1978 (I think) mixte and it came with 1st get Cyclone Derailleurs but it also has Campagnolo LF hubs and Mavic 700c wheels so could have been changed at some point. The woman who owned it was an avid rider and even raced from time to time. Great bikes and my daughter has put some miles on it before leaving the nest .....and the bike! GLWS , nice looking bike.
