Another use for those Harbor Freight work lights! Just wanted to share this idea!
A coupon for 20% off, and a coupon for a free mini work light. What's not to like? Use the light's hook, and some velcro to really secure things up, and you have a super bright headlight for your bike. Store it in your handlebar bag when it's not needed, or use it elsewhere!

Velcro and/or hook would make for a LOT of movement. Doesn't light the road like it should, will annoy oncoming traffic, and tickles the edge of legality. I did mod one of those same lights for bike use a few years ago, when I was "light poor". Popped off the magnet, drilled a hole in the cover where the magnet had been, and screwed it into an old Cateye (or maybe a Planet Bike) halogen mount. I even rigged it so I could point the big 24-LED array forward, or the little 3-LED array, for "twilight" use. Solid and stable, but the light pattern is awful. Lately I've just been finding decent purpose-made LED lights at yard and thrift sales for $1-5.
