I've been a baaad Boy!

Finally! After delays due to equipment breakdown at fork builder. Picked up Tuesday and was able to squeeze a ride 16 mile in yesterday. Was having second thoughts about all the black parts on green, but I like it... A LOT! Wound up fork is great looking.

My LBS, Mason at Westerville Bike Shop had bike pretty much perfectly set up for me to jump on and ride! I only had to rotate the bars up a few MM.

Great acceleration and handling. Hopefully winter passes quickly for longer rides. My wife actually noticed new bike in garage! All is well.

Shhh! Don't tell my wife!

My first (and probably only) bespoke build bike! Rim brake, Willow Green with Vanilla Shake panels. Chorus 12 speed. Hed Ardennes LT wheelset.

That's super cool.

What better way to stimulate the economy than buying a "forever bike"?

Damn, they'll put a pump peg on? I miss those. Still have that Zefal frame pump, too.

Good for you.

I had vanilla panels on my bespoke Bucket List once....

But my frame color was grey. Scratched that itch only.....17 years ago. Wow, how time flies.

I've got a printout like that of my frame from them - though it's a Gunnar. Had the secretary at work use her fancy giant printer to make a poster, which I hung in my garage. Just an idea for you...

Looks like you're not having the fork painted to match the frame?

Chose Wound Up carbon fork. Feel it looks great showing fiber weave with the gorgeous polished crown.

So, how much did you tell the wife the frame costs, and what percent of that is part of the real price. I usually stick to 50% when I tell my wife how much stuff costs.

When I was ordering a custom bike, I had the shop price it both ways - mechanical vs Di2. When they sent the prices, I shared them with my wife, and asked for her opinion. She replied, "Why didn't you just tell them to do the nicer one?"

A few months later, when the frame was almost ready and the shop was about to start the build, we got an unexpected check in the mail. First words out of her mouth were "Is there anything more on your bike that you want to upgrade?"

Sounds definitely like a keeper. My wife, on the other hand, loves to yell about parts coming off the Amazon/USPS trucks. "How much is the costing us?" "Why do you need this?", blah blah blah.
My wife used to be a keeper, but lately, I dunno....

This is what you need. LBS's in my area tell me that they get fake receipt requests frequently (but they don't charge ).
