Hi folks. Im looking for good optics for my daughter. She is only three but she is travelling a lot, mostly with her father on additional saddle you can see on the photo
Im looking for some good optics for here. For now we use sunglasses with filter, but this is not good option. She is daughter of her father, so she doesnt like to see the world through dark glasses. Do you know any good transparent bike glasses, with UV filters with antifog maybe and dedicated for 3 years old baby? I cant find anything. Thx in advance G.

Safety glasses. Clear or tinted. They come in all sorts of tints from very dark to just barely. Very cheap when bought online at the various online safety glasses vendors. Clean with a cotton rag. A paper towel will scratch them in no time.

I've used SafetyGlassesUSA for a long while.

Very cheap safety glasses doesnt provide proper UV filtering unfortunately, and are too big for 3years old lady.

Favor? Could you explain what is so good in wearing sunglasses? You have to protect your eyes from UV radiation not the light.

Your focus on UV protection seems a little misguided to me. I'd think the immediate need will be protection from airborne objects getting into eyes.

UV is sort of a long term issue that likely won't manifest itself until your daughter is at retirement age. Even then it's treatable. It's called cataract surgery.

It is a good idea to limit it when ever you can, but don't be guilty of letting her take a stone to the eyeball because you turned down a pair of glasses that didn't have the ultimate in UV protection.

Here is a graph of acrylic (aka Plexiglass) transmission spectrum:

Note the boundary between visible light and UV is at 400 nanometers.

Now here is a graph of polycarbonate (aka Lexan) transmission spectrum:

Note that it goes opaque right at the boundary of visible and UV.
Polycarbonate just happens to have near-perfect UV filtering by default.
I learned about this one day while watching a science video on Youtube.

You misunderstood me I'm not focusing on UV protection. My focus is indeed protection from objects, you are right. I mentioned UV only in context of 'sun glasses'. Wanted to say that protecting from light is not the goal.

Suggesting someone nowadays to search google contains assumption that this person is stupid enough, to ask on forums without previous search.
How different it is from calling someone idiot? That is how i took it, because I saw many times such reply from people whose intention was to call another person 'idiot', without telling this directly. Im really sorry we misunderstood.

That is a very literal definition of what asking people on a forum is. We all do it, there's nothing wrong with it, but you earn the ill will when you act like a jerk when you don't find someone's suggestion helpful.

The supposedly "passive aggressive" post suggested a search term. Sometimes, that helps. Your response was nutty. You didn't get the ill will for asking the question, you got it for threatening to "report" a person for trying to help you.
