I sure am glad all those vulture capital companies saved all my favorite brands in the 90s-2000s. Now I can buy a Schwinn at Walmart.

There’s too many old Italian racing bikes and they’re all the same and they’re all overrated

Your turn.
That one is troublesome.

I hate straight forks on bikes. I want them bent. Not crocked - but bent. As in a nice curve.

Something you won t read in the C&V forum =
"That is a nice straight fork!"

But even a straight fork can be bent... if you are lucky. Then you can exchange it for a bent fork that is straight. I better stop now...

I have an invention that will make my fortune! A BARFN, Bike Area RF Network. Backward compatible with electronic systems, the BARFN provides reliable communications between bike components using RF. At each node, a conformable patch antenna is placed over the local antenna, passively transmitting and receiving within the BARFN. The BARFN antennas are cleverly interconnected by coaxial cables...

but will the coax cables be routed inside the frame tubes, or could they be molded inside the CF layers when the frame is fabricated??

or... can the inside of the CF frame be given a conducted coating, and have it serve as a waveguide for the RF energy? Each bluetooth device will have a little stub antenna that protrudes into the waveguide. So simple!

(although we have to keep the BARFN (tm) name!)

I object. BARFN is too close to my patented remote-shifting system that uses snapped rusted cables for the same purpose, BRNFND®.

I read a reply to a tech letter page in an audiophile magazine, a few decades back. Guy asked if he could just paint walls with a electroconductive metal infused coating as wire tracks, with drywall screws to place terminals to speakers. Tech editor told him to have at, just put on the 1812 Overture as first record to test the setup. He could time the cannon fire to the explosion of his amplifier and speaker magnets.

steelbikeguy and tgot I’ve been thrown out of bars for saying similar things over the years😏it’s a hazard of having engineer’s disease, and 35+ years of working as one😂

Bill

Looking to get a Campagnolo gruppo for the bike I bought at Wal-Mart 15 years ago. 15 years is vintage, right?

When you make a fixie, be sure to get rid of those cable guides and derailleur hanger for a cleaner look.

You don’t need another bike.

And, yet so many C&V riders are perfectly content with 10-speeds, 12-speeds, or even 14-speeds... in a pinch.
