Adaptor for old Park stand for Carbon Frames?

Have a perfectly good Park but the new fat frame does not fit. Any adapters or solutions?

As a result for cleaning I had to resort to a new stand which is at a good height but doesn’t allow me to turn the cranks:

Any top tube can at least be rested in the clamp. Clamping a carbon top tube is always risky with this type of clamp. I cut the spring shorter, but really a much weaker spring is needed. My newest Cinelli superstar frames have a TT that's skinny near the seat tube, so it works, with the shorter spring.

I often clamp the seat post.

Silca has a solution but it's a bit expensive https://silca.cc/products/hirobel-clamp
not as expensive as a new frame though

You shouldn't be clamping the frame anyway, that's why people have been clamping the seat post for quite some time now.

Hey, last week I noticed I still have a saddle out in the garage that matches the Bianchi "blue."

Clamp the seatpost instead of the frame. It's much stronger.

Good suggestion. It doesn’t help me be as lazy as am since it will take me 30 seconds to remove the scrotul bag and another minute to unscrew the flashy-flashy, but you probably saved me $150! So thank you.

Laziness is so under-rated and under-paid.

Cheaper to replace a cracked seatpost than a cracked frame.

It's a trick I learned 25 years ago when I brought my Cannondale to a shop and the wrench clamped the seatpost instead of the tube, and explained why.

Seems like a guy with a Porsche could afford a meager purchase like that, ay?

The OP dodged a bullet by not being able to clamp the bike in his stand, or he would be exploring how generous the makers damaged frame policy is.

I don't know when people started using the seatpost. I crushed the seat tube of the first frame I ever built in a park stand back in the '70s, and still didn't think to use a seat post. Now I have one sitting around for use on frames.

Just get a cheap seatpost to use with the stand. That way you don’t have to take anything off the existing seatpost.

Park made a tool for just this application but they have discontinued it. It called the ISC-4. You can find them on Fleabay occasionally.

Excellent ideas, and rationale, the seat post is it. Thanks to the brain trust.

A cheap metal (steel or aluminum) post of the proper diameter can avoid that problem as well. Mark the height position of your current post, pull it out of the frame, and insert the cheap post for clamping. If you routinely service bikes with a variety of post diameters, something like the Park ISC-1 might be better than keeping an inventory of various cheap posts on hand.
