Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pull the brake or derailleur housing off, slide this over the old cable cut to length obviously, pull the old cable out, slide the new cable through, pull this housing off.
That works.

Sounds exciting.

Today was the first ride this year that I wasn't on a commuter, cruiser, or an ebike. The first hundred yards or so on the Allez felt weird - so light and responsive. But, after the first little climb everything was fine. Surprisingly, my suck-o-meter was not pegged at any point in the ride.

My favorite saddle is making awful noise as I pedal. Some sort of sleeve/bushing where the rail enters the shell has disintegrated. I hammered a metal shim in there so I can ride it tomorrow but I can't find the same saddle for sale anywhere. It's a Selle Italia SLS from some years ago. I have another Selle Italia that I really liked but the rail broke. There used to be a company that would replace rails for about $25 but they might be gone. That saddle was over $200.

Should I start a poll on the 41 about what saddle to buy? Or should I buy some random saddle and then ask if I should like it?

The first option with a pic of your ass, of course. The sick thing is you’ll get good faith answers either way.

Yes. Cerveau is French for brain and vélo is short for vélocipede. Cerebellum means “little brain” in Latin.

When you go with the latter, be sure to ask if you got a good deal as well.

Speaking of gear, the new Prevail made it's debut today. Very nice; light, cool, comfortable. The fit features a little more room around the temples than the Evade it is replacing.

The marine supply stores are open, but the bike stores are curb service only. Dropped my last clevis pin in the water today and it cost me $70 after I was done browsing.
