2021 Gravel Gobbler

Just about three months until fall's fabulous gravel event -- the 2021 Gravel Gobbler. This event, taking place on Saturday, November 6, occurs in scenic upstate N.Y., not too far from Albany. This event raises funds for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern N.Y., and offers two gravel routes to explore: a 38-mile 'Big Bird' route, or the 24-mile 'Turkey Lurkey' route. All attendees will have the chance to ride the wonderful gravel roads of Nassau and Chatham, N.Y. After your ride, enjoy the vibe at S&S Farm Brewery while you get a beer and enjoy some fine food truck fare. This event is capped at 225 riders, and nearly 75 people have registered to date so don't wait too long to register. The current registration fee is $25 and it increases to $30 on August 1. Learn more about this must-attend event on BikeReg.com.

How did your Gravel Gobbler go? I was there - great day - sunny and 45* - rode the Turkey-Lurkey. Those back roads are a blast to ride and it's always fun to see what the NYC second-home money buys and renovates.

My buddy had a flat on the rear. We managed to overcome that challenge and ride on to success.

Looking forward to next year already - rode the Gobbler in 2019 also.
