Mi: Proposed North Branch(Clinton River) Greenway

Just a proposal as of now . Looks like a great idea!!!

This was published in May this year(2020). It's the first I'm hearing of it. NOW is the time to get our bicycling community behind it!!!

If you belong to any cycling club kindly inform them of this potential project. We need to get ahead of the NIMBY's that'll oppose it.
We can't let those few , keep the masses that will benefit from it ,stop it from happening.(like the CANCELLED , Sterling Relief Drain Linear park https://www.candgnews.com/news/count...in-area-106654)

The proposed North Branch Greenway follows the North Branch of the Clinton River from the confluence with the Main Branch of the Clinton River in Clinton Township, north through Macomb, Ray and Armada Townships and the East Branch Coon Creek in Lenox Township. This greenway study also identifies potential trail routes and conservation strategies along the publicly- and privately-owned properties. The proposed North Branch Greenway works to not only protect and conserve the riparian corridor, but also envisions a network of trails that would traverse the center of the County and connect the Freedom Trail in the south to the Macomb Orchard Trail in the north.

Thanks for the tip. This is a cool potential link, as here you add lots of connectivity to Lake St. Clair Metropark. And open up interesting loop possibilities with the Macomb Orchard Trail.

Thanks for the heads up, and I will talk it up from over here in Oakland County.
