Somehow or another I got put in charge of our local club's "A group". I haven't even done one of the rides in a couple of months. WTF?

make sure to point out potholes, yell "on your left" when passing, and remember to wave to other riders lest we see new threads in the 41 about a rude group of elitists.

Sounds like a nap is in order.
Just got up after not sleeping well. Have a headache and hurt all over and heading out to a group century which I hope will make it all better.

Thats my life. Part of my responsibility for the team/shop is to do the 'A' ride on Sundays, and to participate in any local charity events. Like the 100 miler with Tom D tomorrow.
Im ok with it considering they treat me very well. Deep discounts, and i heard yesterday the 2011 team kits are going to be Garneau...of which I get 2 free. Ive never had any Garneau stuff but everyone at the shop seems to think its the sheeit.

My wife's office party in a couple of hours, so I'll be the spouse helping make things awkward I guess. At least the employees know each other and have something to talk about. Plus, this is a formal event so we went out last night & bought me some grown-up clothes.

How's the new pad working out ?
You mentioned heaters the other day ... you can also check your windows & doors for drafts. A little $2.99 sticky foam weather stripping can make a big difference.

I probably have a few parts. No rear derailleurs though. Front der, maybe an STI lever (single), maybe some calipers, maybe some hubs.

There was a very bad crash at my team's group ride today. Someone went down at the front of the pack and took most of them down. I wasn't there, but heard one guy was unconscious for several minutes. One guy's bike broke in multiple places.

Hope everyone is ok.
