Ha. Whenever I feel good about my RHR and HRV, relative to the couch-sitters of the world, I can click on to Phil Gaimon's IG and see his whoop stats, indicating a 33bpm RHR and 250+ HRV.

We were in Ireland many years ago and I was astonished seeing a lot of pea gravel front yards, good sized, too. Basically, the whole front yard was parking space and/or decoration and the pea gravel looked like it was raked and rolled daily.

On the trainer, I take it? Nice. Were you shooting for high, steady power or was the record just a nice byproduct of the workout?
I was doing a little Strava stalking, checking out some of the folks that have ridden a previously mentioned loop that's used as a yardstick for whatever reason. One of the guys with a power meter finished in ~50 min with an average of 338w. No indication that he's a racer or anything and this is on metro area roads, including a couple dead stops (one for 90+ seconds) and various slowdowns. Humbling - with all of the starting and stopping, I'd have to fight to average above 220w on rides with similar conditions.

So what's everybody eating for breakfast lately?
I just came to the realization that my wife was right (I hate when that happens). She has been telling me that my gastrointestinal gas issues, which significantly trigger my hernia discomfort, are mostly due to the oatmeal I have for breakfast 5 days a week. Now I've finally come to realize that the days I have eggs instead of oatmeal almost always result in more comfortable hernia days.
So what are you guys eating?

A lot of breakfast feedback, thank you. Yes, yogurt is a healthy alternative I can get with, I'll have to trial and see if it meets the energy requirements of a robust, energetic retiree.
The shredded chicken sounds good, too. Must be prepared some way to keep it moist. Recipe?
This morning I went with 2 made-from-scratch pancakes leftover from yesterday and a hard boiled egg. Tasty, but if I make it a routine I would have to do away with the hi-cal syrup and reduce the hi-fat butter on the pancakes . . . that's asking an awful lot.

They’re great vehicles. Our MDX is a 16, we have over 100k on it and it runs as good as the day it was new, the paint is still perfect and it’s a ton of fun to drive as far as an SUV goes.
I’d consider another, but having no car payment is pretty nice

Couldn't find any obstructions in there. I did another run with the upper assembly removed entirely, just to see the volume coming out at the junction - I'm not sure that there's enough volume/pressure there, so I'll look for blockages in that area. Also not sure of the pump arrangement - I would assume one pump running both upper and lower jets, but the pressure on the lower seems fine and steady, whereas the pressure on the upper isn't as high and it's pulsing rather than steady.

It was a Rouvy course sim that consistently drags painfully high effort out of me, but I wasn’t targeting any specific power or record from it. It was just a nice surprise at the end in my pandemic quest for more power.
Now over 300w for the better part of an hour - that’s awesome. Maybe one day. Right now I’d settle for 220w for 150’ and 8:00 pace for 13.1 afterwards.
