Thanks!

Got me some 44cm handlebars ($24 ea), a couple of very cheap Panasonic dyno hubs ($21 ea), and couldn't stop myself from dropping a Jackson on these:

No Japan or Taiwan...booo. ...skipping the Danish might be a blessing for the Danish framebuilders...wherever they are.

Yeah, I saw they have a 66cm Soma Smoothie road frame for $380. The fork is $120.
$500 for frame and fork is pretty strong for anyone on the taller side that is wanting modern steel.

Those dynamo's are a great deal, but I've already got 5 generating wheels so I'd better pass.

Well, I've already got one on my workstand, if they throw another one in my latest order, I'll mail it to you.

They work just fine. More drag than the more expensive ones, but I've had one on my commuter for 3 years now with no issues. That's just a damn good price so I picked up a couple more even though I don't have a current project to use them on.

Same - I have a Sanyo version on my commuter and I may grab one or two. I'll probably be glad I did.

Cool, thanks. If you want to go all in on cheap dynamo light system, I have one of these in the way from China; I’ll let you know how it works.

On a related note, I just transferred an IRD bottom bracket from my old single speed commuter to my new town bike build and 10+ years, all weather, still smooth as buttah.

All you guys buying Panasonic dyno hubs - received it (them) yet?

Anyone want to recommend? Classic silver, very vintage looking rim and spoke lengths for a 700c, 32hole 2X build. Rim brakes.
Maybe I should try to build a wheel. Heck, just a front for a city bike; What could possibly go wrong? HaHaHa!

I'm not sure if the Panasonic dyno is the same as the Sanyo one I have, but they certainly look very similar...will report when I receive them.

The biggest issue with building a wheel right now is finding rims! @SquireBlack is currently finishing up the UBI frame building course in Ashland, Oregon. One of the benefits is you can do a one time order from QBP at wholesale. He said there were practically no rims in stock.

Tracking says they're arriving Tuesday. I have one (Sanyo branded) on my city bike. It came with a wheelset I bought for dynamo front wheel, rim is a (discontinued) Velo Orange PBP. I recently laced the rear to my Sturmey 8-speed so it's appropriately matchy. The Sanyo/Panasonic works just fine, so given the price I bought 3 more - 2 silver and 1 black. My chrome Mk.I and my son's Super Course get the silver and my wife's Lotus gets the black. So I'm going to build me 3 wheels! I bought a few other things, can't remember exactly. A set of Union Jack plugs for my Mercian, and some non-sale items to get free shipping. Going to need to rustle up some lights next.

I’ve been hoarding a few sets of 700c 32-hole rims if anyone has a strong need. I’d sell a pair, not interested in breaking them up.

Is the 3 speed bar-end designed to work with a vintage Sturmey Archer hub?

I'm not a 3-speed expert like some on here, but I believe the cable pull is the same across all vintages of SA 3-speed hubs. I based this on the fact that the SunRace-made 3-speeds in the 2010s were compatible with old shifters, but I haven't followed whether there's a new generation of hubs that have broken away from that standard. I believe the bar-end shifter has the same cable pull as the old trigger shifter.

I was able to snag a pair of A23s in 650b. No hubs, though, at least not under $400!
