I have both 50mm rims and 60mm rims. I use 60mm presta valves with the 50mm, and 80mm valves with the 60mm rims. For 50mm rims the 60mm valves are long enough for pump and inflator heads.

More convenient to buy the tube you want and run extender.
These extenders do NOT require any thread tape or sealant. Just screw it on

I'd probably go with 80mm. Worst case, it's a little too long. But that's no problem -- most of the 700C bikes in my collection have valves that are way longer than needed because that's all that was available at the time I needed a new tube.

yep, I have some 50mm depth tubeless and use a 65 mm valve, but could not find 60mm tubes, so had to go to 80mm which I think are too long.

you could go with shorter reach & use these:

I have not used these, but might be just as good:

For me, the perfect length would leave 15 mm of stem showing. I round up whenever I need to because 10 mm might not be enough for a good connection to some pump chucks.

65mm would be the ideal solution but I can't find any inner tubes that are 65 or even 70mm. Will buy a 60mm and see if that works for my track pump, out on the road I use co2 and have a Specialized Swat mini co2 head so I think that should fit no problem. Just wondered how many people use 60mm in their 50mm rims. Might try the Continental 30mm extenders otherwise as I think 80mm would be too long.

I've used extenders on 34mm length valves on some tubes and it worked very well

I have 60 mm valves on my aero 50 mm rims and they protrude just barely enough.

My rims are 55 mm and I use 80 mm valve stems. They stick out too far, but 60 mm are definitely too short. I guess i need 70 mm, which of course, doesn't exist.
For 50 mm rims, 60 mm valve stems seem skimpy, but 80 would be really long. Not that that's a problem. Just fugly.

I'd get the 80s.
