Scored a Jamis Coda Sport

I was able to purchase a Jamis Coda Sport frame set at the coop today for $10 including seat tube, handlebars, brakes and levers, front and rear derailleurs. I don't know the year, but the frame is black and it says it has a double butted chrome moly frame. It is an 18” frame.. I’m 5’9” and have a 30 inch inseam. I hope it will fit me.
I also purchased a nice 8 speed giant hybrid wheel set for $30.
I expect to trash the derailleur’s because they are scratched up. Likewise the crankset.
I need tires, tubes, shifters, derailleurs, seat, and a chain to complete this bike.
Any recommendations on my upcoming build?

Ok, so I'm not a big hybrid fan. But this is my attempt at a commuter/utility bike made from a CODA.

A lot of parts got replaced.

$10 for a Jamis Coda is a steal, even if you have to replace all the bolt-ons. The bones of that bike are truly some of the best out there (Reynolds butted steel frame).

Plenty of room for a nice wheel set.

I have ordered or received the following new parts for the Coda Sport
Shimano UN300 Bottom Bracket 122.5 mm spindle
Shimano M361 Acera Triple Crankset 175mm 42/32/22
Shimano M361 Acera Rear Derailleur Silver
Shimano M310 Altus Front Derailleur
Shimano M310 Altus Trigger Shifters
Shanmashi Ultralight Mountain Bike Pedals
8 speed chain

I have removed the old derailleurs, crankset, bottom bracket, and chain.
I put used Kenda 700/38 tires on the used Giant Wheelset I purchased from the co-op.
I put a used seat post and Serfas seat on.

I hope to get this Jamis built by the end of next week.

Last night I completed assembly and adjustment of the Coda Sport. This morning I took it for about a 5 mile ride and was very pleased with a livelier feel than my Trek 7100 Multitrack. I like the fit with the riser handlebars I installed. Shifting was perfect with the Altus 8 speed shifters and the Acera rear derailleur and the Altus front derailleur.
I don’t know about the Serfas saddle I got from the co-op. I might try a Brooks Flyer I have on hand.

I will try to get some photos up soon.
