Addiction 2022.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don’t get bored on long rides. Mostly because I am trying to push it, and my garmin is set up for 5 mile laps. As long as i’m under 15 mins I know I am making good time . I used to have to sprint the last 30 seconds or so to make it everytime.

Only issue I have on long rides, days I am not feeling it at a certain point I want off. This never happens when I am close to home.

A small tarantula just strolled across the floor. Followed moments later by a frog. The frog turned and went out on the porch. The tarantula continued on undef the ropero.

Yeah, that must be it. It's not the ice cream and chips. It's the hills.
The fat burning thing is about training metabolic efficiency, not weight loss. You use more energy less efficiently at higher intensity as I understand it, so maybe more calories.

You said floor. That’s too much action for a living room.

Madone was making a rattling noise yesterday. Sounds like something loose bumping against carbon. Everything is secure so I don’t get it. For a second I thought it might be the derailer.

I have considered quitting my job and working for an outfit like this. But I suspect making it a job would ruin much of the fun in cycling.
