Clang , thanks for that. I'm local and have messaged the seller. I'm interested in the larger (62cm?) bike. If I can set up a time to check it out, does anyone want me to look over the smaller one as well?

And Shimano was spec'ed on many bikes, including Italian brands, in the pro peloton starting in the late 1980s, and increasingly so each year thereafter.

According to the FB author, he was selling them on behalf of his dad in advance of a move. Now no longer for sale. Perhaps he got too many interested parties. Maybe they get listed again in the future.

{shrug} What can you do...

Nickel plated Faggin. Oria tubing, but pretty cool looking. $599.
The bad, a bit of a rust bunny incursion around the BB.

if I were still going after this period Italian bikes this would definitely be on my radar, it's a beauty and my size. That bottom bracket isn't too bad, a little de-rusting and a session with Caswell brush plating and it would be good to go.

Thankfully, Fiona Faggin has already completed my Italian stable. Although there is an equally intriguingly cheap Ciocc on the bay as well. No fork though.

Bummer- I was communicating with him too; he said he was going to take measurements for me and thought we had arranged to see the bike, and then he flaked. Bummed, but so it goes.
