Dura Ace brake hoods

It’s been a good week, first the Paramount now a De Rosa. Has anyone found better fitting hoods for the Dura Ace brake levers? Thanks

I would like to think that some of Shimano's other offerings could be used. Since we're going for 'better fitting' and not 'NOS replacement perfection', Shimano's 6209 600 levers, 1051 105 levers, and BL-L331 levers are a pretty darn perfect match. The lowly L331 levers, of which I have two pair, match 7402 lever blade profile perfectly. The pivot hardware 'style' of the L331 and 7402 match as well. 6209 and 7401 lever blade pivot hardware match, so I'd like to think that there is further similarity. Will the locating tabs of the rubber hoods match? No idea and no guarantee. I think we should at least be leagues closer/better in fit than those Dia-Compe levers, though.

I found one 1051 hood and it’s not too bad.

Hens teeth. The best DA hoods come already installed on good condition DA levers

Yeah I’ve figured that out. I’m just looking for something close, either that or a cheaper set of Shimano levers. Needs to pass the 10 foot test.

It’s got a Campy seatpost, headset and hubs, thinking about just swapping the rest to Campy.

Not familiar with L331’s, but other than (potentially) those, in my experience only 7402 hoods fit 7402 lever bodies.
6209’s and 7401’s use the same lever body and are interchangeable.
BL-R500’s and 6403’s use the same hoods and lever bodies.
