Symbiosis

So I found this pretty little thing in the classifieds, what drew me was the price and the strong suspicion the frame was Columbus, my friend reminding me that straight fork blades would most likely be Columbus.
I didn't learn of the name Symbiosis until I went to see the bike in person. Hand built by Yannick Normand, whom I think spent some time learning from Marinoni, I was very eager and willing to pay 250$ for this hot cookie.
I couldn't find much info about Yannick or the Symbiosis name, anyone else have more info?
(I'll post some proper photos later)

Strange that the top tube guides seem to be epoxied items rather than brazed on - and the welds around the BB shell don't seem to match the quality of the other joints. Noticed the frame seems to have magically identified its tubing in the interim, too

The bottom bracket is a TIG welding challenge due to the tight quarters you must work in. My guess is that the builder was still developing his TIG skills.

Yeah I had to get in touch with Yannick to confirm what tubes he used, and he confirmed Brain, so I added some Brain decals 😅

I like nimble front ends so I'm curious how the bike handles with a straight fork, long stem and extended handlebars

Is it just me, or are those dropouts... uncommon? Anybody know the thinking behind that design?

They look like Ritchey dropouts.
