2014 Cannondale CAAD10 5 105...
It's 5700 10-speed, but it's my size. I don't need another aluminum bike; already got one with 5700's that I use often and like. But I am soooo tempted. Seller is even willing to sell at $500.

The correct number of bikes is N+1 right?
If you have the cash and it is a good deal and you have the space - why not? On the other hand you have to recognize that just because you can doesn't mean the you should (still struggling with that myself). I am trying to simplify and get rid of stuff that was a good deal, used three times etc. and is clogging things up.
Be realistic - will this be an alternative to your existing bike? Or simply a different choice when you go out to ride. Perhaps if one is a compact crank and the other a standard, (assuming that you need one over the other at times) then that might be a motivating factor.
Bike looks like a reasonable deal though....

in seriousness tho, if the bike is *similar* to something you already have, then you probably want to skip it. I know this from having 2 trek fx's (the 7.3 and 7.4). In my case, one is mine and one is for my wife but i would not purchase another 7.3 or 7.4 if i simply saw a good deal on it. again, if you have the money to buy it and the space to store it, knock yourself out and buy it.

Yea, sorry mcours for the sage advice. After I hit 60 I realized that I just didn't need any more s*** just because it was a good deal. But you are welcome to load up on stuff if you want.

But alas, it is not to be. The seller never got back to me about a time and meeting location after he sent me the serial number of the bike. Maybe stolen. Glad I didn't have to make the decision.
