Shimano 105 (1989) with 3rd party replacement crankarm?

Did anyone mix and match their groupsets? I have a retro 105 groupset but one of the arms is a bit damaged costmaticwise, I don't want to repalce the whole crankset so I am wondering if anyone tried maching 3rd party crankarm with Shimano 105 FC-1055.

There are 3 drive side and 6 non-drive side crank arms from the 1050-1056 generation of 105 currently available on Ebay. Yes, people do mix and match. I bought a bike with a complete Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset, except the NDS crank arm. So I found one, and replaced the replacement.

170, one arm has a pretty deep cut on it, I can try sanding it and polish but afraid it might shave too much material then becomes a safty issue.

That series of (square taper) 105 crank arms are pretty beefy. You could remove quite a bit of material I think and still be fine.
Could you post a photo?

Sure, I think the only thing that stops most people from doing so is matchy-matchy OCD. You just need to take into account that different cranks will "want" different bottom bracket lengths, so depending on what you throw together, the new crankarm could have chainstay clearance issues, or put the pedal out further than before.

NDL , I checked to see what crank arms I have. The only option that would possibly work for you is a Shimano 1050 crank set. I am including this URL from Ebay for a 1055 as a visual due to it being about identical to my 1050, including the condition:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/23408556998...saAiSoEALw_wcB

I knew I had an orphan 170mm, but it is from Ultegra 6500 crank set, octalink. The link above is of an actual 1055. Let me know if you have interest, it would be the whole crank set.
