I like your thinking. Also, chalk-up those fries as a couple servings of veggies -- that's what I do.

Fries, ketchup, pickles, lettuce--pretty much a veg-fest.

Southwest Tortellini, Spinach/Red Pepper Cous Cous, and Cauliflower.

Total 845 calories, low fat, high carbs/protein.

I've got a hoagie for later tonight (8 inch wheat).

A bit off topic, but about how many grams of protein p/lb of body weight are you guys aiming to take in p/day?

And is it dependent on the type of training/cycle you're doing that day (eg, LSD(aerobic) vs. interval(anaerobic))?

I just ate three Talk O' Texas "Hot" pickled okras. I would rate them 10 degrees below mild.

Half of my hoagie down, gonna have a beer now (Fat Tire I think), it's been a long time, I've earned one, and I can afford it in my calories today.

Half the hoagie saved for 30 minutes from now when I'm hungry again.

edit: damn, thought I could afford it in my calories. Turns out I'm 134 over now, because of the beer. Oh well, it's already open.

Dinner was a calorie disaster... a 10" pancake dripping in syrup (read: high fructose corn syrup), 3 scrambled eggs w/ american cheese, and chocolate milk.

I'm a winter weight loss failure of the 1st degree. Bongo is disappointed.

Yeah, for me, it's "commute every so often." I'm lucky if I can find time for 1 commute every 2 weeks. I could just bring a spare kit, my pack isn't that full (lunch, casual dress clothes). I'd still be drying the commute kit during the day just to keep the stink from showing up, so I'd still have the wind tunnel at my knees

Oatmeal and HC were a nice solution though. I still feel good from that.

Had a bunch of beef/been/rice/cheese burritos w/my homemade salsa (with habanero) for dinner. Freaking yum.

breakfast - oatmeal w/ fruit, flax seed and wheat germ
lunch - turkey w/ swiss and lettuce on a whole wheat wrap, yo crunch vanilla yogurt w/ granola
afternoon snack - banana, grail mix (granola + trail mix), cranberries, OJ (I was feeling light headed and nauseous when I got home, so I took in more calories than normal)
dinner - salad w/ homemade oil + vinegar + seasoning dressing (no cheese!), leftover american chop-suey w/ whole wheat pasta.

1 serve plain oatmeal with unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 scoop chocolate whey/casein protein powder, 1/4 banana, small cup green tea.

gonna be a green tea morning: double macha to start the early morning work day. Maybe an apple soon or a few almonds.

2nd breakfast is roast chicken breast and salad/veg. maybe some anchovies too.

Eating oatmeal right now with a large protein shake. Had a monster PB sandwich before my tempo ride around 3am.

For some reason I lost about 2 pounds since Saturday. Don't know how. Don't know why. I really ate a lot. I just wonder if it's dehydration. So I'm going to polish off a gallon of water today. I drank that much or more yesterday, but still woke up at 160 this morning.

160 was mine. But I'm already there. I don't think it will stick though. Something ain't right. Two pounds in a few days? HHhhmm, not good.

Although I have only stocked low-fat, low-cal, high protein snacks at work, and a lot of fruits. If I can control my diet when I get home it should be fine. But my wife is southern bred and cooks with love - and butter, and gravy, and oil, and breadings, and salt, and sugar, and fatback.
