Got my new Clyde wheel installed on the 6th, hence the short ride. Noticed some cracking around the spokes on my old rear wheel just before the 10/5 ride but decided to roll the dice anyway.

Rode the Medici to work to make sure the chain would hold up on this weekend's vintage ride down in San Diego, the bike did fine, but it started raining halfway there, now I have a lot of cleaning to do between now and then.

October Goal 120
10-01 5.1
10-02 5.1
10-03 5.3
10-09 3.5
MTD 19.0
YTD 1210.8
finally got to ride this morning.
I’m going to take it easy for a few days and try not get my knees back aching.
It amazing me how quickly I lose my endurance in just five days off the bike .
Got to be the age factor.
Im just glad the rain is over for now.

Didn’t get to ride today , even though it was an awesome day weather wise .
I’ve been working about every free minute on my fishing jon boats and their trailer .
They haven’t been used in over two years and I think it’s time I got back to doing what used to be my #1 passion.
I actually have two , one is a 14X36 Alumacraft that I can take a friend with me , the other is a 10X36 Alumacraft that I’m making my super lightweight combo for those days when I just want to get away by myself.

Weekend plans fell apart, but sort of in a good way, though I didn't get to do any riding. Back on it today. Got the parts I need to fix my commuter bike, just don't have the time do do the repairs yet.

Hi Mark,
I have the same issue - my GPS is usually CLOSE to consistent - but almost never truly consistent. Even with wireless bike computers, I would get slightly variable results. I finally gave up and went with old school wired computer/speedometer and voila! The variation now is no more than can be explained by actual minor deviations in my rides, such as tight or wide curves, etc.

Things seem to have gone back to normal tonight. I think 16.5 miles is about right.

Fall weather is in full swing and I’m afraid I’m going to ride too much and hurt my knees . . This is about the time last year I had over done during the summer and had to back off riding until spring.
I don’t want that to happen again .,
October is the month I’ve had a fall for the last two years .
Something about this month .
After my short ride this morning, I was numb in an area I haven’t been numb before. And I haven’t changed anything on the bike I’ve been riding.Only lasted a few minutes, but it was scary.
Im going to take it easy for the rest of this month and see what next month brings .
