Reducing the Front Sprockets of my carbon gate system
Hi I am currently using Gates Carbon Drive Centertrack 55T 130BCD Sprocket
Gates Carbon Drive belt, Centertrack, 118 tooth
Gates Carbon Drive Centertrack 22t cog Nexus/Alfine
I am looking to change to Gates Carbon Drive Centertrack 50T 130BCD Sprocket, how do I check what is the correct belt to use? Can I mix CDX 46T 130mm with CDC centretrack rear cog?

Simple math, assuming 1/2" pitch, plus or minus 4 teeth changes belt length by 1". (the belt wraps 1/2 way around the chainring).
This is not absolutely precise, but the small error should be within the range of the tension adjustment system.
BTW- if the pitch isn't 1/2", the same rule applies, just do the math to convert pitches to inches.

Gates has a calculator on their website assuming you have the needed info
Here is all their tools for belt drives including a sonic reader for the phone if you want something with you at all times rather than the Krikit which is more of a home tool:

You cannot mix CDX and CDC. I think possibly CDX and CDN but I wouldn't I would go CDX always unless I couldn't for some reason. Long lasting and better construction.
